Mine gets a 5 for value because I found it on Marketplace for $200, and I honestly would consider paying retail for the bar. It’s a tough bar - very little whip (if any), and the knurling is aggressive enough without being “pronounced.” I love the grip on it, and even my wife doesn’t mind how coarse it is. I find it to be an overall better bar than the standard Ohio bar, which is more of an Olympic bar.

Overall this is a very solid bar with little whip and high quality knurling. Pretty much the same feel as a traditional Ohio bar.

Bought it the day Lou died for fear of discontinuation, and it's been a workhorse ever since. Knurling is certainly towards the extreme side, and stiffer than a frat boy at a wet t-shirt contest. We actually use it primarily for rack pulls, which should be a testament to its build quality, given that's probably the most stressful movement any bar could experience. Also acts as a great sub-in when prepping for meets using 29mm bars, plus it's murdered-out, which I think has to be anabolic, so careful on your fed's testing procedures...

The first bar I ever bought (1.0). It was a workhorse but would prefer if it came in something besides black zinc.

So we have had two of them, one a boneyard pickup and one that was a straight up buy. Both have done well and performed well, but I can’t say that they stand above any other Rogue bar except in branding or color. I think the hybrid power bar is a better overall choice.

I used this in a buddies gym and to me it felt just like an Ohio power bar. Not really sure what makes it a “west side 2.0” but I wouldn’t fall for that gimmick
