Perfect for beginners and MUCH easier to take than their 3" Muscle Mace. We like to attach bands or chains to ours for easier retrieval, especially from those bashful rookies! The steel construction is a bit cold, but again is much easier to clean than similar silicone products, and we do recommend you warm it with your breath first before use. More advanced users can attach weight/chains/bands to this and still maintain a firm grasp of it, but it's about all I can do to even accept it in the first place. Great product though, and serves exactly what it's obviously made for nicely.

This is a tough one to take, especially over Elitefts' beginner 3" Grenade Ball. It's a bit colder than silicon products but cleanup is FAR easier. We've not yet worked up to the third ball yet but as you can see from the pic, ours gets used often, and has left us satisfied each time, if not a bit sore!

First piece I've bought based solely on Gym Radar, and it doesn't disappoint. I've never cared for the stock belt Rogue provides with the Rhino, but man this Spud Pillow is MUCH more comfortable, and it keeps the upper thighs scuff-free, which is important for upcoming bikini/silkie season. Only very mild wish would be more larger and robust loops, as I question how well the small nylon-only loops will hold up, but the initial comfort improvement alone is more than worth that slight worry.

The only reason i'm docking them so much on the value, is for the simple reason that you could very easily use wooden blocks or boards to accomplish the exact same thing, which we did for years prior to purchasing these. I also found them to be a tad on the pricy side when we bought them several years ago, but man they are handy, quick, and versatile over all sorts of other applications. Value's not great, but I'd still recommend them and buy them all over again. They're also quite tough against uneven cast plates, I worried that they might not hold up to that as we kinda love old and mismatched plates in our place but they've held up very well.

If they'd let me give it a sixth star for value, it would've gotten it! I think I caught this on sale maybe 2 years ago and I'm pretty sure my all-in cost was $100, and man is it worth that. It might even be the best EZ bar i've ever used, and I've actually grown to prefer the thicker grip now. The build quality on it is still more than serviceable, but admittedly it does have some larger welds on it along with a very basic powder coat and no knurling, but that's also the intent with it; to be a no-frills, to the point, economic EZ bar, and all of that it is.
