SS Yoke Bar - SSB

Instead of giving the same review on this bar you've already read 400x prior to this one, which are all true, I'm going to offer a different approach here as to why this is the obligatory SSB for nearly all scenarios: If you're a powerlifter, especially equipped, and especially if you train conjugate, then it's my belief that you quite literally owe it to Dave Tate to buy this bar, because it's also my belief that no one, and I do mean no one, has put out more, high-quality information concerning the aforementioned topics than he, and it's not even close. Granted, it helps that this bar is genuinely the best SSB ever, and I come from an era where we had some super crappy designs floating around out there. Ours, as you can see, is beyond war-torn and battle-scarred, and yet there's not a thing wrong with it. Its a first production run bar from I believe 2013-ish, has had 4 digits loaded on it repeatedly, has lived most of it's life in a mono (which is harder on bars), and has lived it's last 6 years in a SETX garage gym exposed to horrendous humidity, and yet it soldiers onward without so much as a hiccup. Stop thinking about it, pay your owed dues to Dave, and buy this bar. Now.

Unsure why anyone would even consider a different SSB. Comfortable, sturdy, and legendary. EliteFTS typically has a sales on this product whether it be on shipping or a % off as well.

This is the benchmark for SSB bars for a reason. It's going to last 3 lifetimes. Sure the sleeves flake with use and it's heavy AF when you want to move it around but for an SSB this is probably the end game for many people. Some may find the padding to big but that's all I can think of in terms of actual issues when in use. My bar is many years old and it seems brand new.

Its not cheap but man it feels great to use. probably my favorite bar to use for squatting

This is the best SSB I have ever seen or used. Way better quality then Rogue. The pad is phenomenal. Super comfortable for stocky people like myself. Only thing I dont love it how easy the finish comes off as soon as the plates scratch it. It would be cool to see some other design options like the ends of a normal barbell.

Absolutely 0 complaints. Immediately better than the one I have. Handles are well placed, pads rest where they should. I may be biased but this is a serious contender for best. It’s also not cheap, so I lost a star. Weight is even.

The best SSB money can buy, definitely not cheap but worth it in my opinion.

This is the gold standard of SSBs. I have used the BoS, both generations of the Titan, the Rogue and the Marrs bar. While I love the Marrs, this is the best SSB I have ever used. Great handle spacing, padding, and weight angle.

Overall a solid bar, padding is amazing. Used this a few times while on vacation in NC, would buy one but it’s a bit pricey compared to some of its other competitors.
