I love the no knurling on the bar. Only downside to this bar is that it can get pricey on the collectors market.

Excellent vintage curl bar. This is a daily driver for me. I have several curl bars that stay loaded with different weights for the various family members... this one I kept for my own use. It's perfect for skullcrushers and preacher curls. Mine has 8.5" loadable sleeves and weighs 19.9 lb.

Very cool bar that I got with the matching vintage curl bar collars. It performs well for what it is. As far as vintage bars go , you would use this curl bar exclusively and still get plenty strong. Mine does have knurling so is slightly newer than the smooth. The knurling and bends are solid (for a 30 year old bar).

With a pair of vintage collars I just didn’t find myself ever using them
So eventually purged the gym of several different pairs of vintage collars. The curl bar its self is nice even if it didn’t come with the gym. Good bends that feel good on the wrist and elbows, and it’s technically rackable as all curl bars are if you put your mind to it.
