Big Steve's Corner of Pain
About the Gym
Small 2.5'x8' (closed), 4'x9' (in use) corner of my bedroom that started out for rehabbing a rotator cuff tear. External rotation started with a 1lb dumbbell and moved up from there. As the rehab progressed my routine evolved to upper body focused routine. I started with the 55lb Trulap dumbbell set and upgraded it to the 92 lb set last fall. about 6 months ago I started working on lower body movement patterns and found the TRX and kettlebells to be useful for that. At the end of the year I joined a powerlifting focused gym because I felt I needed coaching and I don't have any room for a barbell (other hobbies take up all the normal suspects for space). That's been working very well. I go there three days a week and do upper body accessories from home one day a week plus movement work and shoulder rehab.
