I really enjoy using the stability pad from Prime. It is my first and only piece I own from them (so far) and they did not disappoint. It is very expensive. There is no possible way to deny that. That being said, I have never seen anything with such a high build quality. This thing is a TANK. If I saw on the news that nuclear warheads are being launched all over the world, and I had to choose between laying under the Prime stability pad or staying in a 100 mile deep bunker, I am going to hit another set of chest supported rows and think about what I am going to do as the soon to be ruler of the postapocalyptic society that awaits me. Yes, it is a bit heavy, but I have no issues moving it around and setting it up.
For storage, I keep it propped up vertically in the corner... on the floor (GASP). It is really not that big of a deal unless you are limited on space beyond belief, or if you are team anti-floor and refuse to stoop as low as I have.
The value you get out of something like the stability pad depends entirely on how much you plan to use it. My chest supported row setup I use with the pad and my Voltra is the best feeling row I have ever used at any gym. My other favorite use is as back support with my pullup bar for hanging leg raises. I also use the pad for things like chest fly/press exercises, face pulls, overhead tricep extensions, or cable curls. Any standing cable movements that can benefit from some stability I setup the pad.
As previously stated, this thing is expensive. It is definitely not for everyone, but I have really enjoyed it. I had some Visa gift cards laying around from participating in a research study and you can find at least a 5% discount code for Prime. I am not sure if I would have purchased it without those things, but luckily it worked out for me. Go give up a little of your time in the name of science and one day you too could possibly understand the utility in something like the Prime stability pad.
