Built back in 2019. Back in 1985-86 in parents basement it was a chunk of 2x4 on the floor. This was the 2019 version. Piece of longish 2x4 and couple of short pieces of 2x4 deck screwed together. Still in use 7 years later. Maybe one day make an updated version if ever get around to it.

Food grade Ropak bucket free from a local Mr Sub. Big bulk bag rice added. Done. Simple and effective option for hand or forearm strength and conditioning. And lots on YouTube of what ways one can use it for forearm training.

Same “diy utility Bench” use for box squats. Here use two modified 2x4’s for the cross pieces. Sit on the pins. Cut some pieces of 2x4 to make pieces to help hold them in place. The utility bench added couple of extra 2x4’s cross wise to keep it from moving forwards or back. Simple, stupidly cheap, and cheap. Does the job.

Dirtbag level “utility seat” say that in quotes as made to to do more then one. Made from scrap wood. Cut to width of rack and Amazon Safeties. Primary use is as a “Squat Box” to make better use of space and one less object to worry about tripping over. Or seeing how strong toes are when absent mindedly tag with foot. Does the job. Also handy when doing deadlifts and want to take a breather- and also have a sip of beverage.

Very versatile. And one added feature not mentioned. Silence. If your in the basement or shared space no loud clanging of chains if working out at night. Well unless everyone you live with enjoys hearing the weight room attempt at the Isengard Theme. 😝
