The 5 pair version is a bit flimsy and has an annoying top bolt when assembling. But it’s very space efficient with a tiny footprint. The 8 pair version is MUCH beefier and thicker steel, heavier, taller, with a bigger footprint to boot. Its main benefit (both versions actually) is that they are appropriately sized to fit round urethane dumbbells, not just the smaller hex style dumbbells. I didn’t use the base and just mounted it with bolts and washers to the middle of my 6 post rack. Ultimate space efficiency achieved.

I got a "Death Valley" version of this bar (which is Rep's version of the Rogue boneyard) for <$300. Mine is in a chrome finish (I believe the SS version has much more aggressive knurling). Construction is fantastic; the sleeves have very tight tolerances, so it sounds very quiet when dropped. I would say its even quieter and tighter tolerance than the newer 'quieter' iteration of the Rogue barbells. It's got the inner race bearings which the newer Eleiko barbells have. The knurling is moderately grippy without being too aggressive. It spins amazing, especially after I put some silicone lubricant into the sleeves. It has a passive center knurling so you can use this very capably for back squats outside of the standard snatch & clean/jerk. Possibly one of the better deals in WL bars on the market. Probably not as nice as a top of the line Eleiko training bar or Uesaka, but those are like double its price and I don't need that level since I just do WL for fun.

Possibly one of the best dedicated 45 degree hyperextensions you can get for a home gym. I knew I didn't want the Freak Athlete Hyper because I don't want to have to adjust a bunch of knobs. I wanted something really really good at 1 thing versus decent at a dozen. This BC hyper oozes great build quality. The powder coating is excellent. It's very high off the ground so that you can do weighted extensions with DB's without having to hug them to your chest (unlike the Body Solid, or Titan Fitness, or equivalents). The foot pad is very large and sturdy. The padding is very thick. There are dedicated band hooks for band use. The height adjustment is via a heavy duty steel locking pop-pin. The holes for the height adjustment have NUMBERS laser etched next to them so you can remember which number your height is (HUGE if multiple people use the gym). There are just very few compromises in the design, especially compared to a lot of the other home gym suitable 45 hypers. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of equipment in my home gym.
