This has been used for every session, every set, every rep in my current gym. Squats, bench, deadlift, press, rows etc it's a very very solid bar. The knurling is probably a medium on the aggressive scale, much like me after a few pints. I think now, like the best of us, time has started to take its toll. There is a very very slight curve to the bar, which I wouldn't expect to get at the weights I'm lifting. There are probably alternatives available that are better at this price point, but it's still very decent and I don't think you'll be that disappointed with it.

Good, solid curl bar. Smooth to load, easy to grip. Has lasted me 7ish years now without much wear and tear. Gets the guns gunning!

Solid as a rock. Works as well as you can imagine a mini jack working. Easily stored compared to a full jack. No notes.

Personally I don't like this rope. It works ok but since it's adjustable, moving the adjusters in for your desired length mean there's a bit of stray thread of skipping rope hanging off that can be distracting while you're trying to skip. Not bad for the price and worth the risk if you want to try it, you won't be disappointed that much if you don't like it.

Marked down simply because you need additional plates to anchor this down (obviously by design). I think it's designed for you to use bumper plates as when I used my normal tri-grip plates the paint started to chip between plates. A nice introduction into landmine stuff though, and better than a tennis ball on the end of your barbell!

I've had this 7 years and it's a great product I'm really happy with. It was easy to build and is easy enough to change heights for bench and squatting. I think if you're really tall, maybe 6'3"/6'4"+, it might be a bit short for you. I'm just shy of 6' and use the second highest hole for squats. Sadly one of the pop-pins has been broken for maybe 2 years now, and they don't offer replacements, although I'm sure if you dig hard enough you'd be able to find one. I just unscrew the whole thing now, and it's safe enough. I failed a 150kg squat on it recently (lowered not dropped) and felt safe, being able to get out of it easily. There's a bit of rust showing on the spotter arms, which are big enough, but that's due to age and the fact I have to move my barbell laterally to load it due to things being in the way. I don't think I'd feel comfortable loading any more than 180kg for squats, but if you're on big boy weights like that then you're likely more than just dabbling in home gym. One last comment is that while it's easy to adjust the width of the rack for dips, I never bothered. I feel it would also be a bit rickety if you did so, same with if you're constantly racking and reracking big boy weights on it. However, if you're just starting out on your home gym journey, this could be the piece for you.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? The missing piece you need to finally get strong, stay strong and use your strength. Simultaneously pops and ties the whole gym together.

Fantastic product for those who own gyms that are vertically challenged. I bought so I could overhead press in my gym without my plates making holes in the ceiling and for that it does a great job. I haven't used them for squatting, but I imagine they're a good enough replacement if you cannot afford (or don't have the room for) a cambered squat bar. They leave enough room for your biggest plates unless you're a silly strongman and have wagon wheels or something. There are little screws you can use to fasten them to the barbell but here at Barker Grove YMCA we don't concern ourselves with daft safety features so I haven't used them.
