I ordered these on the 6th of May and they finally arrived on the 23rd of June. They travelled all the way from roughly 5,500 miles and 48 days. It felt like a long wait, but looking back now, I'd do it all over again. What made these different for me wasn't just getting custom MagPins. It was trying to make the most of the technology Darko uses, I wanted the texture to actually mean something. The idea we came up with was a snake, but instead of normal scales we replaced them with barbell knurling. It just made sense. If you've got the ability to create raised texture, why not use it to recreate one of the most recognisable textures in strength training? It ended up looking far better than I ever imagined. The finished product is identical to the original concept and Darko absolutely nailed it. Before these, I was using the generic ,orange, Rogue hitch pins. I could never get on with the orange, so I tried painting them black, spray painting them, even Plasti Dip. Nothing really lasted or looked right, and eventually I just got fed up trying to make them into something they weren't. These are on a completely different level. The quality is unbelievable. The machining, the magnets, the finish – everything just feels premium. They're one of those things you use every single training session, so even though they're only MagPins, they're something you appreciate every time you move an attachment. Sometimes it's the little details that make your gym feel like your own, and for me these are definitely one of those upgrades. They were worth every mile they travelled and every day I waited for them.
