This is the first “nice” bench I’ve ever owned so I did a lot of research before landing on the ABX. The attachment ecosystem and the folding upper pad were primarily what I was interested in. The bench is ROCK SOLID. I’m a heavy guy, so putting myself into the sit up attachment for the bench was a massive leap of faith. At no point did I feel unsafe or unsupported hanging upside down or at the top of a sit-up. One complaint regarding the sit-up attachment is how awkward it is getting into the position. I’m 5’11” and my head just about rests on the seat of the bench. If I’m not careful in my setup, it can put a lot of pressure on my knees also. The leg developer attachment is also really nice, however it’s at its best when used with the cable attachment. When used with a plate the weight curve is reasonable but it’s heavier towards the end of the motion. Used with a cable the weight is consistent the whole way through (it actually felt comparable to leg curls/extensions I was familiar from my local gym). Attaching the Leg Developer is also tricky because it’s inserted at an angle but requires you to come at it straight on. I’m sure it won’t be a problem after I’m used to it but it’s worth noting. I’ve seen lots of complaints online regarding the weight of this bench and difficulty to move however I came from beefy Hammer Strength benches at my local gym and these are no harder to move than one of those. Maybe I could have done more research and found something that does all of this for less, but I’m happy with the choice I made. This will have a place in my gym for a LONG time

My wife and my first foray into fitness started with taking spin classes at CycleBar. Memberships were expensive so we figured it would be cheaper to buy a bike for at home. Our local Amazon return box store had one of these new in box for $150 so we snatched it up. After replacing the pedals with a pair of SPD-compatible pedals we were able to capture experience at home. The build is acceptable but little things like how the handlebars come loose and wobbly over time remind you that it’s DEFINITELY not a Stages bike. It’s also not a terribly heavy bike so sometimes if you’re riding in a standing position the bike does feel quite sturdy. The bike uses magnetic resistance which takes some getting used to, even at high resistance it still has some glide to it. This is a great bike for home cardio but it is no replacement for the types of bikes a proper cycling studio would have.
