I love this machine. It allows me to do barbell lifts without a spotter. It moves in two planes, front to back, and up and down. It allows for a more natural movement when performing exercises. It can also be pinned in place for traditional smith machine movements. My machine I modified to fit into my Rep rack. If you are buying new, it’s a lot ($4,500) for a dedicated piece, especially if you already have a rack. If you find one on Facebook, the prices can be good and worth the investment.

They aren’t pristine, smooth-edge, bumper plates. But, they are good! They have consistent weight, colored fleck to differentiate the weights, and hold up to the abuse. AND they are made in the good ole’ USA.
