This was one of the few plate loaded machines at the time I got it that had an independent handle pully system. While it’s not the best for cable flys it works well enough for what it is if you use the soft handles that have different lengths that come with the tower. It’s a 2:1 when they are independent and 1:1 if you link them together. You can do pretty much everything you can think of for cables on this tower. At 6’1 I sit on the floor to do lat pull downs. If it was a little taller it might be better to do lat pull downs off a bench. It may not be very robust, but it is functional and the price, especially in 2020-21 that makes it approachable. It’s pretty stable if bolted to the wall, and fairly smooth. It’s not the highest quality, but I’ve had it for 5 years and it’s still kicking. The weight rating at the time was 225, but the website now says max weight rating is 200. Which is still plenty. It’s small, doesn’t take up a lot of room and if you get two of them you could spread them out and do flys a lot more like on a high/low cable cross over machine. I would recommend it for someone starting out, and someone on a budget, but if you want to go beefier; there might be other options out there that cost more.

For the value and size, it’s a good quality piece. It works the quads in extensions, and hammies with curls. The instructions are not super easy to follow but it’s not hard to put together. And shipping allowed for some chips and scuffs in the paint, but they do offer “touch up paint” to protect it, but it’s not quite the same color, so you can see where things are touched up. That doesn’t affect the functionality of it. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t notice it flex when in use it like I see with other brands with similar designs. I feel like it will last me a long time. Some people say the range of motion on equipment like this isn’t amazing, but if you start with the pad further back, and the weight a little further forward. It feels a lot better. Just like anything that allows adjustments, you just need to find what feels right for you. I’m 6’1 and it feels good for me. I would buy it again if I was in the market for another seated plate loaded leg curl/extension machine. Another bonus, is you can “hack” it to do a few other things such as, Seated calf raises, hip thrusts, seated back extension, seated abdominal crunch, and standing leg curls.
