I bought two pairs of 2.5 pound plates and really like them. I originally purchased them because I had given up on finding vintage york 2.5 plates and then as luck would have it, I found some pairs on Facebook a month later. Great finish and easy to handle.

I was really hesitant when I purchased these at York Barbell in ye ole York, Pa. It isn’t your grandpa’s York Barbell. Most everything is made in China including these plates. However, I’ve been thrashing around these plates for 4 years now and there is little to no wear on them. I docked them a star simply because they aren’t the best fitting on a barbell but who doesn’t love a little jingle jangle am I right fellas. They are great value when purchased at the outlet in York especially when you get them on sale. Anyway… they look great, they perform great, and they hold up. I definitely recommend them.

I have some 2.5s and 10s. And they are weight nothing special about them. The york is just a cool nod to classic.

These are decent plates, but the problem is the ones that came before them are legendary. It's too bad York had to move production of these overseas.

These were the only local option for me, so a save the shipping cost which without it was a no brainer to purchase them over others. If the price it write and no shipping cost you can't go wrong.

Not a bad plate overall. The 45's and 25's look and feel great, but the 10's and 5's feel like an odd size to me.

The only real knocks on these is maybe that they are not the easiest to handle as the edges are so straight and it seems pretty easy to chip them.

I have some 25s, 10s, and 5s like the ones pictured. Durable and extremely accurate weight. Far better than basic cap plates (of which I also have, the 45 is a full 0.5 pound heavy). To compare these to Cap plates is crazy talk.

I’ve got a few pairs of the 25s and smaller. I think they are nice plates. Not as cool as the OG milled Yorks for sure. They’re fine for their price. Bummer they aren’t made in the USA though. One thing I like about the 25s is they are actually 12” in diameter, so it looks really cool and clean when you have them on a 12” log. Good lip and coating on them as well. Makes them easy to hold on to. The two pairs on the outside of the bottom posts in my picture are the 25s. I also have the 5s and 10s on there as well.
