20kg Fat Axle

I really like the easy bar math since it is a 20kg bar. The markings make it very convenient to find hand placement. I was able to get this on the garage sale for $100. You just cannot afford not to at that price.

Like many others, I got this bar when Fringe put it massively on sale. I had never used an axle but figured it would be fun to have. It is - I've done some benching with it, which feels great, plus some cleans and some deadlifts. As many others have mentioned it's really helpful to have it weigh 45 pounds and have the markings on it (even though they are kind of janky looking). I wasn't expecting or wanting it to have knurling since I wanted to get the real strongman experience, so I was all good with that. If you want an axle for your gym, jump on one of Fringe's constant sales and grab this one.

For $100, you couldn't afford not to! Came well packed and seems to have a sturdy build. It is not knurled, but has paint marks where knurling would be. It was a bargain buy but the lack of knurling would be my main negative.

Picked this up from the Fringe garage sale and while I'm not someone who has used an axle a ton, I like this one is 45 lbs and has markings. I've only used it a few times, but I'm a believer. If you're someone looking to get into strongman or just add some variation to your normal lifts, give the Fringe a whirl.

Couldn’t afford not to buy this on sale. I don’t work with axle bars often, but this seems like a solid bar for doing variations of presses, deadlifts, and bench pressing. I appreciate that it’s a 20kg bar, so I don’t have to do any weird plate math. Also a fan of the painted markings on the bar.

Got on Facebook marketplace a lot heavier than my other axle bar.

This thing is awesome. I purchased this for about $120 during a Fringe sale, which I feel like you can’t beat. Weighs the same as a normal bar, rackable, and has ring markers around the shaft so you don’t need to worry about where to place your hands. Fringe packaged this incredibly, and it got to my door in about 2-3 days. Only knocked a star on performance for lack of knurling as the powder coat can get a little slippery when sweaty. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and will probably never get rid of bar.

Fringe ran this on a special I couldn't deny. Great packaging, best packaging of any barbells I've had delivered. I like that its not a weird weight so I can do normal plate math, but I mostly have used this for curls.

As someone who is bad at math the extra cost is totally justified by it weighing 45 lbs and making plate math easy! It’s pricey but in the grand scheme of things compared to most home gym products it’s still very affordable. Love that there are painted on markings of the rings and center points of the bar!

This has been a solid addition to the home gym and picked it up during a 20% off sale. It was well packaged for shipping. I like that the weight is 20kg and the ring marks for hand placements are helpful. Only gave 4 stars on build quality over minor cosmetic issues with the finish that doesn't impact the performance at all.
