AB-5200 2.0 Adjustable Bench

Our toughest, most customizable bench is now even more customizable, including the option to make it decline and mix different colors on the same bench. Or select “adjustable post” and easily transform the AB-5200 2.0 into a flat-incline-decline bench, with three additional decline angles. Further personalize the bench by selecting a frame color, with the ability to choose a different accent color on the guide rails. The fixed/adjustable post is finished with a durable metallic black powder coat, with a black chrome inner post on the adjustable version. This is a very solid bench that is going to hold up no matter what you throw at it and I would have no problem recommending it to a fellow home gym enthusiast. I have the adjustable post on my AB-5200 2.0 that allows for a slight decline and I'm really glad I spent the money on the upgrade. The bench is heavy but not to heavy where I have issues moving it around throughout my workouts. While I wish the bench wasn't considered "obsolete" because you can't attach anything like a leg roller or leg extension attachment, I'm very happy with my purchase and don't have any plans to move on from it.

The AB-5200 2.0 fits well in my gym setup and feels like the kind of adjustable bench you buy once and keep for the long term. It is stable, easy to adjust, the pad supports well, and the overall build quality is strong. I also have a Nighthawk to use with my REP leg developer, but I still cannot let go of this bench.

Wanted a legit adjustable bench for my home gym. I hate when i would go to a commercial gym and the benches are either fixed flat, sub par, or poorly maintained. This bench checks all the boxes for me. However, after i purchased this bench the night hawk came out and I would’ve probably went with that instead because the 5200 is VERY heavy.

After using a few adjustable benches and having my tailbone ride the hinge point I knew this one was for me. The extra long back is great for me being more than 5 foot tall. Its built like a tank, vinyl is sticky when I needs to be, and the adjustments are great.

Great bench, it is built like a tank with little to no play and no wobble. It more stable than some commercial benches I've used in the past. Also the padding is excellent it sticky with just the right amount of squish to make it comfortable without sacrificing stability.

Sturdy and Dirty I really enjoy this bench, it feels like something you’d find in a commercial gym. It’s super sturdy, almost overbuilt, but not in a way that makes it hard to use or move around. It’s still easy to adjust, store, and reposition. I’ve seen some people complain about setting it up for decline, and to that I offer the confused Jackie Chan meme. Just put the bench at a slight incline, adjust the post, then set it to decline—three steps and you are done. End of rant. Back to the review: the finish looks great, and assembly was super easy. I originally bought it with the standard bench pad, which was perfectly fine, but I’m a sucker for consumerism, so I ended up upgrading to the wide pad. Honestly, unless you’re a larger individual (physically, not ego-wise), the standard pad is more than enough. Save your money and don’t be like me. The grip on this bench is excellent, you can really lock your shoulders in for bench press. For reference, I’m a short king at 5'5" (maybe shorter on a bad day), and I can still get solid leg drive with no issues. Wish List: It’d be great if there were a way to add attachments. Then again, if REP did that, they probably wouldn’t be able to sell the rest of their benches.

This is my current daily driver. I’ve got nothing but pleasant things to say about the bench. Finish, padding, functionality, sturdiness, ability to slightly decline. I’m not a wild man about having specific angles so it all works for me. Premium quality at an affordable price.

This is the best no frills adjustable bench in my opinion. If I were shorter or wanted the adapter for the leg developer or foot catch, I’d probably go with the Nighthawk. For how I use it, this is an ideal bench.

REP Fitness AB-5200 2.0 Adjustable Bench is an amazing bench and is built with amazing quality. The only thing that I don't love about it is that it is a little on the heavy side and is longer than I need but I cannot give it anything but five stars because of the quality that Rep has put into it.

I’ve had this bench about a year and a half and I love it. The bench is built like a tank and is very stable. The pad is firm and grippy however the gap could be a bit narrower. The back pad is long enough so that I can bench off of it and not deal with the gap. The bench is on the heavier side which isn’t an issue for me. It is a problem for my wife and daughter though.
