Cast Iron Olympic Plates

I feel like there are some minor inconsistencies between each set of plates as I can tell which pair I am using on a given lift. With the strength co plates, they are so universal that I can’t tell my sets apart. These are a good value when on sale.

I have only one pair or 25’s, which I did not like. I know this small sample is not a fair representation of all of the plates, but this is my experience, which caused me not to build out my gym with Titan plates. They are not standard diameter so they are slightly larger than a standard barbell 25lb plate. Both of my plates had huge slag chunks in the center hole, that if I’d not have addressed it would have taken chunks out of my sleeves upon loading. I had to file them down in order to use them. The edge of the plate has a weird seam that protrudes out and does not look appealing. They are 25lbs so I can’t complain there. I use them, and to be fair I do like how they look as a whole, which is why I wanted to like them. The lip depth is nice and easy to grab onto. I wish I had a better experience with them at the time as that’s what kept me away from buying more. They would have been a great value especially if you owned a full set and you didn’t have to worry about size differences.

The manufacturing quality on these is hit-or-miss. While the coating resists chipping, the casting often features rough textures and sharp metal burrs that make handling uncomfortable. Structural inconsistencies are also common, such as plates having a "cone" shape that prevents them from sitting flush on the sleeves.

1st off...Its Titan they have sales damn near monthly NEVER PAY FULL PRICE! That being said these are solid plates they gray coating is durable and the ones I own are all consistently within weight...I purchased these plates so I wouldn't have the need to use my calibrated plates on my leg press and leg ext/curl machines...prices include shipping and they're almost always on sale...my only problem is Titan doesn't have Hundos...they're plates they do they're job the coating is amazing and they're not your basic black plate...

Cast iron plates. What else is there to say. If you have enough they get heavy.

Had these for a couple years and they were fine. Titan had a sale on them and they were less than $1 a pound. If you can catch them on a sale like that they're a great deal. Also it was weird they sent me a mixed set as you can see in the picture, which at the time I didn't care about but it would bother me now.

I really wouldn't buy again as I'm going for matching plates now. But they lasted me 3 years and have been good to me being on a budget.

These are what I have for my 45s in iron in the home gym. They are reasonably priced and definitely get the job done but they aren’t pretty in any way. The only thing I’d say that is bothersome is I have 1 pair that must have been put in a weird mold because it came out cone shaped and looks visibly different on the bar when it’s next to the others but that is what you get for something like this is what I’d imagine. Other than that though I’d say they are solid for just gripping and ripping!

Can't speak on these in too much depth as I only own the 5 lbs. pair. Mainly bought them to use as change plates and they have worked very well for that purpose. The finish is a bit cheap and slick. They also aren't the smoothest plates as far as texture. There have been a few instances where small jagged edges have stabbed/cut my hands while handling them. Overall, for what I use them for, they are fine. Definitely better options out there.

Bought them on sale and they were serviceable at that point. Coating is strong and doesn't chip.
