CB-1 Rogue Camber Bar

CB-1 Rogue Camber Bar

The Rogue CB-1 is for serious lifters that need more from their posterior chain. It's rackable so athletes can train with any of our power racks, squat stands or Rigs. The bar is farther in front of the midline, placing the emphasis on the hamstrings and the lower back. It allows the upper body to stay vertical, training proper form to get max depth and explosiveness through a full range of motion. This means that you can get stronger, fast, while better preparing your body for safe, effective training under any type of bar.

Being an older lifter, my shoulders tend to complain if I back squat too often. By using a camber bar, it gives my shoulders a break. It also helps with stabilization with the squat and can be used to do a good morning exercise.

Everyone's favorite part about this bar is leaving it out and not putting it away as it weights 85lbs 🤣🤣 that being said it's a great bar at a good value

The ideal bar for good mornings and building up the posterior chain. I wish the top was knurled for better grip, but it's built well otherwise. Paused good mornings to safeties will ensure that you won't have a glass back

Being harsh on this bar because I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't put knurling on it. Almost most powerlifters I see have to put athletic tape on this bar so it doesn't slide off of your back. The bar is designed to rotate as you squat, which naturally is gonna make it want to slide on your shoulders. To get it to stay in place you are forced to put it in a high bar position. It's also probably the heaviest cambered bar out these so it can be a pain to move around

Fantastic bar to change up on squats, when rehabbing or fighting shoulder mobility, and as a change up on accessories. Built to last. No knock but many of my smaller lifters fight muscling this bar out of a holder and into a rack or mono - simply an FYI if handling a large bulky bar may pose challenges to you.

Outstanding bar, great option for squatting without the stress on the shoulders or wrists getting under a straight bar. The camber will allow the weights to swing and make you work extra hard to stabilize it during the squat. Knocked off points for value given this is probably lower on the list of essential bars in the home gym space but if it fits your needs, go for it especially if you can find a deal on the used market.

This bar is low on my list when it comes to bars to buy. If you are doing westside/ conjugate style training then this style of bar may be for you, but I know Titan sells basically the same exact thing for less. All that said, this bar feels fine and does the job you want from it without issue. I would not say it is that polished rogue product you may be used to. I would compare the quality to their axle. It is what they say it is and it works well. Not “pretty” doing it though. I doubt most people are thinking about that, but don’ t think you are getting something better than a cheaper version of this bar because it came from rogue. That school of thought does work a fair bit of the time though. From a practical standpoint, this thing is a pain to store and to move around. It is HEAVY. Not a bad thing, just keep in mind. I don’t think the attachments that mimic this type of bar on a barbell do a very good job. If you are in the market for this type of bar, then get the bar and save yourself on trying out the attachment.
