Monster Lite J-Cup Pair - 1" Sandwich

Monster Lite J-Cup Pair - 1" Sandwich

Rogue offers three types of J-Cups for use with the 5/8” holes of a Monster Lite rack or rig. You can compare the options below and select your preference and quantity from the order menu on this page. All J-Cups are sold in pairs. For owners of a Monster Series unit, see our Monster J-cups. This upgrade adds UHMW to the front lip (further preventing metal on metal contact) and extends the plastic lining all the way to the top of the back plate, reducing the chance of someone accidentally re-racking on the top of the plastic and then having the bar drop into the cup.

Of all the upgrades you can make to a home gym, these sandwich J-cups might be my favorite. I don't know why I waited so long to replace the standard J-cups that came with my rack, but they've been everything advertised and more. They make it easier to rack without slamming your collars, easier to handle an SSB, and overall they're just a big quality-of-life improvement for any barbell movement. Probably my favorite gym upgrade of the past six years. If you're smart, just buy these outright with your new rack.

Rogue recently updated these so the UHMW goes all the way to the top at the front, the bolts are recessed, and there is UHMW against the rack. Basically the same quality and design as the Monster version. I found the extra UHMW at the front makes a difference for OHP if you re-rack at a funny angle... For new buyers. When buying a rack you can email Rogue to swap out the J-cups etc. if the website doesn't offer the option. For me, I would always go for Sandwich J-cups (or Roller) over the "standard" J-cups Rogue offers. Don't get be wrong, they work. However, Sandwich J-cups come with UHMW at the front and underneath, yes you'll hit this, and with the 1" version you also gain some extra width for your barbell collars. Needed in a Rogue rack.

Of a quality I trust with my life. However, when recentering a loaded barbell, the J-Cups would move a little. I added some adhesive backed felt to eliminate this.

These are great because they aren't as wide as the standard J cup. For people that squat with wide hands that extra little bit can be a big deal when it comes to not losing a pinky finger. They look much better too and the plastic protects the knurling on your bar

From my experience it's much easier to shift the bar from side to side with this style j hook and it takes away the issue of the uhmw plastic wearing down towards the screws on the base rogue model j cups

These are my favorite standard style cup from Rogue. Big beefy and lots of UHMW. I owned the Monster version but the only real difference here is pin size and UHMW on the inside of the bracket.

Like with most things Rogue, these are well build, fit tight, and the UHMW sammich won't mar your rack up. If you have a Monster Lite rack and have an SSB, these are definitely needed since the standard J-Cups that the Monster Lite rack comes with will be too wide which will scar your bar up pretty good. I've had these for a while and they look and perform just as good as the day that they were first used.

A definite upgrade to the standard J Cups. The UHMW on the top gives peace of mind for jelling your bar safe and the shape allows the bar to move more easily while racked. If you don’t want to spend the money on roller J Cups, this is a good option.

Another garage sale find and way nicer than “stock” ones I had on my rack. Never moved, never budged, still taking abuse and protecting my equipment. Win.
