Monster Lite Strap Safety System 2.0

Monster Lite Strap Safety System 2.0

The Monster Lite Strap Safety System offers a simple but reliable solution for protecting both your equipment and your body during even the heaviest lifts. The set, which is compatible ONLY with Rogue Monster Lite rigs and racks, includes 0.3125" thick-formed steel brackets and 0.625" diameter pin, and a pair of 3" Wide Reinforced Black Nylon Straps, rated for over 10,000LB. As an advantage over some pin/pipe and flip-down safety systems, you can mount the ends of each strap hanger at different heights. This gives athletes the option of positioning the strap so that the barbell will roll safely away from them on a drop.

These are bombproof and well made, and if you see yourself lifting inside the rack they're a no-brainer upgrade over the standard pin pipe safeties. The one caveat is that if you plan to lift outside the rack, or if your rack is deep enough to fit safety spotter arms, you're probably better off going that route so you have both options.

One case where the Monster Lite version is better than the Monster version. The J-cup style attachment makes it easy to move up/down rack or just take off, unlike the Monster version. I much prefer straps over a "hard" safety. Hitting a hard safety during a squat or bench etc. is very jarring. Though they do have their uses, as others have mentioned. For new buyers. When buying a rack you can email Rogue to swap out the safeties etc. if the website doesn't offer the option. For me, I would always go for strap safeties over the "standard" Pin & Pipe safeties Rogue offers.

Much better length than the Rep version. I sold that and bought this instead. Extremely happy with this product. I use it for every single bench and squat session.

They get the job done effectively. A little work to adjust them up and down but the little bit of work is worth it.

These safety straps are amazing! I'm sure I'd have a few bent bars if I didn't have these. I also like to set them up so I can bail if needed and let the bar roll down the straps.

Great safety. Nightmare for anything else. Pin and pipe is the play if you plan to use for pressing motions. Bar will roll and float in these

I wasn't a fan of these. The brackets on mine were very loose on my RML-390 uprights. They'd swing out with the slightest touch. This is probably because they are not lined with UHMW and have a looser fit.

During my time with my Monster Lite flat foot rack, I have a set of strap safeties. They were great as safeties, but they were difficult to use for something like pin press. To get the bottom of the strap at a good height for pin pressing, the J-cups I had could not be set low enough for a safe unrack and rerack while also being high enough to get out of the way of the strap safeties. Not a huge issue because that's the only issue I had, but something to be aware of.
