PR Deadlift Bar
The Kabuki Bar design started with the competition specifications and from there on it was reverse-engineered, with material selection and geometry to maximize the amount of flex in the bar before it leaves the ground, while balancing the whip or oscillation of the bar. The Kabuki PR Deadlift Bar should enhance anyone's pulling power immediately, but there is a learning period to maximize the results just like going from a power bar to a regular deadlift bar.

The knurling feels exceptional in hand and, by far, is the most aggressive on a deadlift bar that I have encountered (vs. Texas Deadlift Bar, Rogue, Cerberus, and from what I’m told also IL Padrino American Barbell) At 95 1/4” with a 27mm shaft diameter this bar has incredible flexion/whip. Especially compared to what I was used to pulling with - the stiffer Rogue Ohio Deadlift bar (at only 90.5”). Since I do not lift Sumo, the added oscillation that results from the increased whip and momentum at the top of the movement wasn’t difficult to er accustomed to. Even at 95 1/4” it length it does not exceed the rubber width on my platform. So loading plates, even with added downward sleeve tilt as the plates stack, doesn’t put me at a disadvantage of hitting my platform’s metal edge while loading.
This PR Deadlift bar perfectly compliments my Kabuki HD Trap Bar (in brand only 😂) and I hope to set some “Grand Goals” and pull some substantial weight (relatively speaking) with this thing and finally break 600lbs. Nothing like Duffin about 9 years ago being first man repping 1000 lbs, first man who did 1000lbs sumo, lightest man to ever deadlift 1000 lbs at that time.

The wippiest deadlift bar ever made, has the sharpest kurling ever put on a deadlift bar, sad it's discounted now with Kabuki out of business as it was my favorite. We will continue to use them in our competitions

If you want a little ego boost then look no further than the Kabuki PR Deadlift bar. Crazy what a little extra whip can do for your deadlift. Only giving it a 4 star on value because some of my lifters don’t care for the extra whip. But different strokes for different folks.

It's wild to deadlift with. Getting whip on 225 is absurd but super fun. They're not in business anymore and the TBP is honestly better for the price. But if you can get a deal on the second hand market and want it for fun then I highly recommend it.

Great bar, got in early on a red cerakote version. More of a novelty now that it’s discontinued, but it’s the only DL bar in our gym. Definitely whippier than the Texas DL bar. Knurling is great, doesn’t shred your hands, but don’t need straps if going for singles. It’s fun if you can get your hands on one.

Sad that they are discontinued and no longer used in competition. Like others have mentioned this is definitely the bar you go to for a PR, however there is a learning curve because of the amount of flex you get with it. I also have pulled on both chrome and cerakoted versions and I swear the cerakoted ones do not flex as much. I just picked this one up off of marketplace thankfully

I’ve pulled on basically every deadlift bar there is and this was by far my favorite. I had an opportunity to buy one in buckle, and I passed it up and it’s one of the bigger regrets of my life.

This is what you bust out when you want to pull a PR. A lot of whip. Pull a bit slower as it can throw you off if you are not used to it. Based on my pull with a 10’ bar, there is some playing around with this bar to simulate that.

I used this in Keith’s gym and it was okay. Not my favourite deadlift bar as it’s very whippy (is that a word?) but it was still a fun time.
This was very expensive when it existed and it’s why I don’t have one. RIP Kabuki.

Really enjoy throwing this bar into my deadlift training occasionally. LOTS of whip and a little different stimulus than your traditional deadlift bar.
