REP® Black Bumper Plates

I own a pair of 35s and 10's and they do not get a lot of use. I do like the bounce on these and they are certainly durable enough. I would recommend them if you are building out a set. I own some of the Rep Color Bumpers as well, but I think the color holds up better in black.

I owned these very briefly during covid, which turned out to be a very good time for me to learn what I wanted in a weight plate. There was quite a bit of scarcity at the time, but I had a job that allowed me to pretty much constantly refresh websites and get in on re-stocks. I purchased these because they were available. They were the same price as Rogue's Echos at the time (Rep charged for shipping) and my invoice had them at about $400 w/shipping for a 230 lb set. that's up to $520 now plus tax, so quite a bit of an increase, but in line with Echos. The problem I had with these was like most other budget friendly bumpers at the time, they were THICK: 2.8" for a 45, while Echos come in at 2.4", easier to handle plus you can get more on the bar. I wouldn't buy these given Echos are the same price, and especially now that Fringe Savages are 1/2" thinner. If you're going budget right now, Echos are the thing, Savages are $619 for a 230 lb set. I'd get Savages because I think they're just a better plate, but I'd wait for a big sale, which come frequent enough. Unless you're buying comp bumpers, these are pretty much what I'd look at.

Got my first set of these off FB marketplace. Lettering just had a little bit of discoloration from being kept in a non climate controlled garage. Loved them so much I picked up a 2nd set at HomeGymCon 2024. Good quality at a fair price.

Feels great, looks great. Easy to slide on and off of the bar and weight horns. No bad smell from the box.

Bought these years ago when they were a good deal. They’ve been kept outside, dropped from overhead and are still in great shape.

Great bumper plates. First plates I bought for my garage gym when I got started about 6-7 years ago and still in like new shape. I mostly use iron plates now, but my wife loves these.

These are good bumpers. At the price I got them a few years ago they were a great value but they've gone up since then (with everything going on). I don't drop them, and they only get used about once a week, but durability has been solid. The tolerance on the hole is great, too.

I didn't actually spend my own money on these as a friend gave me a pair of 45s. Therefore it is hard for me to speak on value. However, based on performance, these REP bumper plates have gotten the job done. I don't like them better than my Rogue MIL Spec or Titan Economy bumper plates. These are a bit smoother and tend to get very slick during the high humidity summers here in Tennessee. Overall, they are a fine option for anyone looking to add more weight to their home gym.

Decent bumpers. Had my set for 5+ years with no issues. I try not to drop them much but it happens. Even the 10s and 15s are still in good shape with no bending. They fit on all my bars (Rep, Rogue, Texas, Axle).

They're bumper plates. Much better than crumb bumpers. Not as good as competition.
