The RML-690 Monster Lite Rack was originally designed to combine the robust 3x3” 11-gauge steel construction of the RM-6 Monster Rack with the 5/8” hardware of the Infinity R-6. The latest version (3.0) takes this hybrid design to the next level, offering a wide range of custom color finishes, a bolt-together design to simplify shipping and assembly, and increase versatility. Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, the RML-690 features 80" or 90” tall uprights with laser-cut Westside hole spacing (1” through the bench and clean pull zone, 2” spacing above and below). Available in 24”, 30”, and 43” inside depths along with additional uprights on the back for plate storage, the RML-690 is suitable for any training space, from garage or home gyms, to large training facilities.

It looks like Rogue has discontinued the RML-3, which probably makes sense: it's welded at the cross-members, so it's more expensive to produce and ship. But I digress. If you're reading this review, you're probably thinking about buying one second-hand, so here are my thoughts.
The RML-3 isn't compatible with the Rogue Slinger, so if you're planning to add that pulley system, this rack isn't for you. In my case, the welded design is the selling point. With no bolted cross-members in the way, I can set my plate pins lower on the rack, and I have a lot more flexibility in where my Bridge Built Omni Pulley goes, since the adjustable pulley can mount lower than it could otherwise.
In short: if you're eyeing a Rogue pulley system, skip this rack. But if you want an old-school, simply designed power rack, I can't imagine there's a better option than this classic.

I love this rack. I wasn’t sure about it being big enough for me but I can comfortably squat, bench, pull up, row, really just about anything inside it with no problem. I have the basic set up right now with the j cups and pipe and pin that come stock but plan to upgrade to the ghost rollers and safety straps soon. If I were going to change out this rack it would be for a six post with flat feet but this is honestly a great price and the 5/8” with 3x3 is so universal that I’m not sure I really would ever need to buy a different rack. I also love that you can add more posts, junctions, and attachments to create your own ecosystem. The rack isn’t too busy, wasn’t too hard to assemble. The price is a little high compared to some other companies but I feel incredibly safe and comfortable lifting in this rack

The RML-490 Monster Lite Rack is an absolute, well…, Monster. Rogue somehow managed to build a rack that feels like it could survive a head on crash with a Pueblo Gold Ford Freestyle, a Perfect Little Sweeties chest day and a Scants Log Clean and Press (He’s little so even at 90 inches, he wouldn’t hit the top.) The 3x3” 11-gauge steel construction is absurdly solid, and the 5/8” hardware gives more attachment options than even Big Basement Brandon could use. I went with gray because it perfectly matches the color of my soul and the now emotional state of my bank account after ordering the attachments.
If you are looking for a rack that is as hearty as a Chicken Bake, as solid as Big Andrew’s granite collection, as luxurious as Big Tommy's hair and as straight as Big Tanner, this rack is for you. Five JD Powers and Associates (Sorry, that unit of measurement is as old as the sinking as the Edmund Fitzgerald), err, let’s go with S-Tier.

Editing my original review of the RML-390 as I’ve now upgraded to the RML-690. Truthfully, I think the price of this is an incredible value for what you get. It is going to last well beyond my life, and is something I don’t see myself ever selling. The addition posts in the back for plate storage are a huge space saver. I love that it’s USA made, and overall very very happy with this.

It’s a great rack and I really like the west side hole spacing. As a guy who always lifts alone it’s really nice to be able to get safety’s set just right. The only thing I would have done differently is not have the 43 in depth.

Monster lite is a great rack. Maybe even heavier than the monster counter part bc smaller holes cut out. I bought mine initially for the WS spacing but haven’t found I’ve missed it much since going to the Monster.

If American made is important to you, this is the best rack for the price. If American made is not important to you, you can find similar racks for a lower price. Personally, it's worth the slightly higher price tag for American steel, so this was my option, no regret.

We got ours second hand for a fantastic price. We're likely also just taking care of it until the next holder will continue carrying the torch. It also holds our bulletproof attachment like a pro. Dropped a few squats in the safeties and this rack didn't move an inch. We added some pegs to hold plates at the bottom so you can still use both sides of the rack for squats or bench without issues.
