The Temple of Gainz Selectorized Leg Extension and Prone Leg Curl Machine combines two of the most popular and biomechanically effective lower body movements to hit your quads and hamstrings in one heavy-duty machine in a compact footprint. The seat pad and back pad both feature two adjustable positions; with the seat pad down and back pad up, you can use this as a leg extension machine and with the seat pad up and the back pad down, this machine transforms into a prone leg curl machine. Got this one at the beginning of the year - overall great machine! To start off with some positives: great build quality, amazing compact size, smooth as butter even without the aluminum pulleys, comfy padding, great adjustment points and rom (I have the v3 with the recessed bar at the bottom), accessible for the other people that train in space, and good aesthetic if that matters! BUT as most people know the felt weight for leg extensions is very disappointing. I was able to full stack it as soon as it was assembled and was immediately filled with buyers remorse to say the least lmao. Bought the micro-gainz ToG gym pin and add on 2x 45lbs plates but I already feel capped. I'm not even freakishly strong like some people I've seen use it but still it is disappointing. I got the prone version because I prefer them over seated even though seated is superior IMO, it feels good and weight is solid there but have to add 2 foam pads under my hips to improve the movement for me but overall good! If I was able to do it all over again I probably wouldn't get this one since there's so many new ones coming out that look like they solve the issues that I have with this one! I love ToG but this one could use that improvement and it would immediately be a 5/5

Boy, leaving this review in April 2026 feels like stepping into a minefield. For context, I got this machine (v2) used from a fellow crü member who gave me a great deal and I only had to partially assemble it. So I can't speak to the experience of buying new. In terms of performance- leg extensions as noted have a little bit of a ROM limitation because of the crossmember. For me as someone using this as an occasional accessory movement, I don't think this is going to make any difference in my training. The lying leg curls feel really good - i don't have a strong opinion on lying vs seated, so not weighing in there. And then the source of all the controversy lately- the weight stack and its heaviness or lack thereof. Look- if you can squat 5-600, you might need a different machine for figuring out your leg extension 1RM. But I'm working up past the mid 300s and I can't remotely max out the stack. So as with everything it will depend on the person whether this will be a good fit or not.

This will be my next big purchase for my home gym. If it works the way I think it will, I'll be able to do leg extensions lying completely flat which will be amazing for a quad stretch

I have the V2 and I'm happy with it. I went with prone instead of seated leg curls as I've always preferred them. Great quality, fairly easy to assemble. I did have a couple missing parts but the customer service at Temple of Gainz was awesome and they got everything out to me right away. It's also a great place for my drink spotter XL
