I like sitting watching TV at the end of the day doing grip work from my easy chair. This is one of my two staple products for that, I’d I’m doing targeted grip training this is part of it. I can spin it while it’s fully locked down but it’s still enough resistance to do the job.

So far so good. I just recently got this to help with my wrist and forearm development. I don’t think it’s going to be anyone’s primary forearm developer, but I do like the knurling and the premium feel of the product. I’ll probably come back and update the review after I’ve had some time to work with it.

I also own a version of this with rubber handles from the old version of this company (no longer available), and a wrist/finger grip focused item too. All are built very well, but I think this one is the best. The rubber handles did get sticky after a year or two, so the aluminum handles on this one are a big improvement. The range of difficulty is also very good, and easy to adjust. The knurling is pretty passive, but I think it's just right for this type of item. You don't want aggressive knurling on something that will be twisting in your hands. It's just enough to not be slippery. This is still pricey for what it is, I think, so the only negative I have is in value. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an easy way to challenge their grip, do burn-outs by doing "drop" sets (slowly decreasing tension by twisting the adjustment knob), and enhance grip for dumbbell work, deadlifts, pull-ups, etc.

Not gonna lie, I was very skeptical of this product before buying one at a nice discount at the Arnold. Build quality is nice, and the range of tension is surprisingly large. I wouldn't recommend this as a main portion of your grip training, but I think it's a great option for warming up as well as getting a simply ludicrous forearm pump to cap off a grip workout, especially if doing isometric grip lifts that don't really promote a good pump on their own.
