Texas Power Bar Pro 29mm

I have the prototype sleeve version of this bar, and overall love it. Mine looks similar in shape to a classic 28.5mm bar, which I love. Stiff, well knurled, and a great value.

I bought this as a factory second last year and really love it, particularly the knurling. Absolutely no known issues, they've all been fixed!

Come on, it's a Texas power bar. It truly doesn't get much better. You can complain about tolerances vs a $1500 eleiko, but this bar is $300 give or take. Kicks the crap out of an Ohio power bar in almost every respect.

This is the BEST power bar available, pound-for-pound. This is a huge improvement on the 28.5mm TPB, even though God may strike me dead for uttering such blasphemy. But it's out there, I've said it. And it is true. This is how the Ohio Power Bar gets itself to work every day. It's that good of a daily driver. I have owned a lot of damned barbells. I have owned nicer constructed barbells. I've owned barbells with sharper knurling. Stickier knurling. More expensive. Less expensive. They all have pros and cons. But when you pick up a 7th Gen TPB, you know you've ascended onto a whole different plain of pressing existence. The improvement over the 28.5mm TPB is down to a thicker shaft, however slight, that creates a firmer grip on your hands and a more powerful knurl to connect with your calluses. It grips just a bit snugger onto your back. It's firmness is enough so that you don't bounce plates coming out of the hole. In a word, perfection.

Basement Brandon strikes again. Bought fully on his review/ involvement and this is easily my favorite bar. Knurling is great. Buddy Capps logo is cool as heck. Love it.

Honestly I prefer rogue power bars over texas and the only thing I like more about the Texas is that it's usually a 28.5mm bar and feels better in my hand, so I can't say I'm a fan of the 29mm

A great option if you want the benefits of the amazing knurling of TPB but to have a comp legal thickness of 29mm. It's a very small difference between their usual 28.5mm but for some it is the piece of mind training on something similar to what is used in competition. Got this for my wife, and the quality is top notch as always

Ill be honest I cannot choose between this or my Rogue Ohio bar! I mainly use this for squats and deadlifts and its awesome I love aggresive knurling. Nothing like tore up hands after a session! If you need 1 bar it would be this one for sure!

The standard for all bars. I bought an extra for the firehouse so I'm not forced to use any other trash.
