Very well built, good value, smooth leg press. Have had 1000 pounds on it, held up well, hack squat was tough on my knees, but with some adjustments , pad up top and feet high on plate , it worked fine, that is why 4 stars on performance.

We got ours 5 years ago and it still holds up great, even if it feels a bit iffy at times when you load a real heavy leg press at times. Ours is under a different brand name, but it is an identical model to the Force USA one. Main difference is that the weight sleeves for the 50mm is cheap plastic, tho it's not that much of a downside, since it's easy on the plates. The platforms are a good size, but we always felt to be slightly constrained, so we had a friend build us two wooden slip-on platforms. It adds a little bit more freedom to choose your stance, of course setup takes a bit longer between hack squat and leg press mode. Leg press function is perfect and the different angles for your feet position are nice if you don't wear lifters. Hack squat works well and the padding is fine, but noting special. My only gripe for the hack squat function is that the ROM is really short. We always need to remove the safety and add 2 Yoga blocks on the shoulders to really get a nice below parallel squat on it. Being able to add resistance bands is a god send, which gives you that nice continuous resistance curve Also, there is a Calf attachment if you want to do calves in the hack squat setup. The large pads allow you to also do good mornings or those gnarly Platz sissy squats. The sled by itself gives you about 40kg/88lb base resistance (measured it with a crane scale and a rope)

I got this about 4 years ago when this version dropped. At the time, it was a whole lot more expensive, north of $2k, and it was before all the Amazon brands got into the space selling these for half the price. It was fine, I guess. The head rest for the leg press was not tall enough, so my head would fall off the back and didn’t give support during bigger loads. The hack squat was at the wrong angle and hurt my knees. And the calf raise bent the first time I tried it. It’s a plate eater and a space eater. I sold it and I do not miss it.

Definitely not a small unit but one of the better combo options in the price range. The range of motion on the leg press is a non-issue. The hack squat takes some adjusting, but you can definitely get a solid range of motion. To do so, I’ve noticed it does put some additional strain on the knees but it’s manageable. If I could recommend a few fixes it would be a longer back pad for hack squats and not an outrageously long shoulder pad. I’ve actually found I have less issue with my mechanics taking the back pad off entirely while doing hack squats. All that said, it is built like a tank and i feel like I can absolutely justify the space it takes up.

For the money this is hard to beat. It has one of the larger platforms. It works well and is very smooth. If I were doing it over I may go with ToG quad send but is over twice the price so again value this is the way to go. It also has good range of motion.
