Weight Releasers

Weight Releasers

Developed in partnership with Mark Bell of Super Training Gym, Rogue Weight Releasers offer a new take on a powerlifting classic. These heavy-duty, fully-adjustable steel hook attachments are designed to preload/overload the eccentric portion of a lift, creating greater explosiveness on the concentric end. The base portion of each unit can be loaded with standard Olympic plates, then set at one of 15 height positions using the telescoping, lock-in pin system (Adjustable from 28.75" - 49.75" overall). This means you can quickly adjust the Weight Releasers for both squatting and benching use, and for athletes of any size.

Fantastic build quality on these compared to competitors like Titan. One of the most underrated training tools in bench. It really helped me gain confidence in my descent.

I didn't really find a place for these in my training. In fact I got annoyed more that they were basically good for one overloaded rep, then you had to set them back up again. I'd rather use other forms of accommodating resistance.

Super niche and cool accommodating resistance. Each weigh 17.5 lb, are lined with uhmw wherever they interface with your barbell. Great quality product from rogue.

Very cool addition to your training for very super specific scenarios. A great way to get your CNS accustomed to future weights you would like to hit

These are a fun way to overload your movement. If you’re a science based lifter you will get a kick out of tweaking the load patterns. If you are a bro lifter you will like how this allows you to drop something in a way that’s part of the workout. Rogue did a good job on these for protection of the bar, but also keeping cost reasonable.

I bought these to specifically help with the eccentric portion of pressing movements which is a known weakness of mine. These allow you to overload the first rep. The quality is great as you'd expect with Rogue. They have very little versatility unless you're Rick Boogs. Overall fun to use.
