Ġgantija

About the Gym

Ġgantija is my home gym that ive put together over the last 2 years. the name Ġgantija comes from an famous archeological site in malta (where my family comes from), its a large stone structure and the local folklore around the site is that a female giant by the name Sansuna carved and carried the rocks to the construction site thousand of years ago. and as a strongman, an acient place linked to me by heritage, and supposedly built by an giant stone lifter, seemed a fitting name for my training space. And you can see Sansuna and the rocks she carried in the gyms logo, along with the maltese cross in the background. the gym itself is quite small but as a result of that, and my very varied style of training, ive learned how to fit a lot into a small space. the gym for its size i think is very well equipped, obviously geared more towards traditonal strength training, but i have plenty of smaller gadgets for the bodybuilding style stuff and other niches like calisthenics. i dont know the exact square footage of the place, but the room is probably close to 110ish sq ft. however it also leads onto my decking in the garden, which i use a lot during summer, and it connects to my living room which is big enough that i can do more dynamic work in there when needed, like during winter and stuff
