I have one of these in my gym. Essentially is set up for bench presses and chin ups only. I have a few older folks rack pull out of it no problem. I have squatted 500+lbs in it. But unless you have it weighted down it will slide and shift around and tip a bit when re racking weights. Great budget rack for a beginner. Would recommend something a bit heavier to anyone planning on getting real strong.
I didnt have room for a safety squat bar. At the time the few who needed one could not squat enough to justify getting one. So I purchased this. It took about 6 months to actually get it. But we still use it 7 years later. Its a good space saver if you need one. Gets kind of wobbly when you are around 350-400lbs.
I got a few sets of these to use to hang my Husker Power Locks on my rack. My micro gains change plates fit on them as well. The rubber added to the back makes these things really strong, and they don't slide. Wish I would've thought of it. You won't be disappointed.
Solid sled, would benefit from an angled track on the front as it will dive into a driveway or sidewalk crack, or dip. If loaded with about 135lbs this problem goes away. But that's pretty heavy for most.
Picked these up from a gym that was closing in my area for .25 cents per pound about 7 years ago. I bought every single plate he had. So my review is reflective of my purchase. Don't weigh them all. Just train with the same plates all the time. No big deal.
In my experience buy all you need at once. Don't spread out the purchases. The sizes depend on shipment. So if you buy a few then go back mo the later they could be a couple inches off. But they are a must have.
