I got this barbell when first getting back into lifting a few years ago at Rip’s recommendation. I’m no barbell expert, but I love the knurling and the look of bare steel. It’s been a perfect all around bar for me.

No regrets here, just great basic plates that hold up well and look great too. I like having a set from them and a thin weight it out set, they complement each other well. As I get stronger, I’ll be buying more of both.

Great design for storing a heavy dumbbell set in a small space. Very stable, easy to assemble, and easy to rack and re-rack. Downsides: The very bottom position is not very usable, I keep a lighter pair there. Also, if you get one of the cool colors, the paint comes off easy, too easy. They need to improve the powder coat process. Even with the issues I mentioned, I would buy again, simply because there is nothing else as good for storage in small spaces

I definitely prefer the round calf blocks compared to square, having now tried both. My only complaint besides price is it’s a bit short, I have to put plates under it to get full range. Maybe I have super flexible ankles? 😂🤷

My low row foot plate takes up 4 vertical holes on this which doesn’t allow me to use a normal voltra mount above it so it’s gonna be replaced with the Black Widow version. 8 holes compared to 5. While I still recommend this product, the 5 vertical holes are limiting.

I just installed this yesterday, then did a full leg day using smith for squats, RDLs, and front foot elevated split squats. I took a chance on this piece because I hadn’t used a smith for years and wasn’t sure how I’d like it. Well, not only was it an easy, solo install, it is the rack attachment I didn’t know I needed. The extra stability is super useful for dealing with my low back injuries and unilateral movements like lunge variations. I can see why this is the top rated rack attached smith. REP knocked it out of the park with this one! Highly recommend. Edit: I have to knock off a little because the built in spotters do not have enough positions to safely spot Incline bench with the nighthawk bench. This is disappointing. Currently working on a solution and seeing what customer service says about it. Edit 2: still loving this attachment, I got smith spotter shims made by Carbon strength and solved my issue. Been loving this for split squats, 15 degree incline bench, and RDLs lately.

Because of chronic lower back issues, I haven’t been able to barbell squat. Belt squats have kept me in the game but I hadn’t found a great home gym set up till I got the TNT Hellbox. I have no complaints, I do wish fringe or someone would make a better kickstand but that’s a different subject. I use axle collars to secure the weight horns. I use the Hellbox every leg day, 2x a week. Even with 2 voltras, I prefer the feel of the TNT Hellbox. I also use it for calves! Thank you Porter for such an excellent upgrade! Worth every penny.
