York spinlock collars are a great way to add vintage character when lifting with vintage plates. They are heavy, sturdy, easy enough to find, and still practical to use. This specific set came from Joe’s Gym in Erie, PA, which adds to the story for me.

These York bumper plates are a great way to carry the vintage vibe into deadlifts and RDLs. Mine include repainted 25kg plates along with original 15kg and 20kg plates. The rubber is starting to show its age, but they are still solid after all these years. I do not use them for heavy drops because I want to preserve them, but for deadlift work they are a great fit in my gym.

These uprights are solid, look great, and work well for weight plate storage. I bought mine on sale, so the price was right. They are a few inches shorter than my REP 93-inch uprights, but that is fine for how I am using them. The overall quality fits the same clean, durable feel as the rest of my rack setup.

These crossmembers look great, feel very solid, and should last forever. I prefer the matte black crossmembers with white uprights, but REP offers enough options that you can really match whatever look you are going for. The powder coat is clean, and the overall quality is exactly what I want on my PR-5000.

The REP weight horns are basic, solid, and do exactly what they are supposed to do: store weight. They will scuff over time, but that is going to happen with any weight horn. The plastic sleeve is a nice touch because it helps keep the bolts from mashing into your plates. Not exciting, but not intended to be.

The REP Smith Machine has been a great addition to my PR-5000 rack. It is super smooth, very well built, and more versatile than I expected, especially since I had not really been a big Smith machine guy before. Installation was easy for one person. My main downside is that I wish it had more safety stop positions, and I am looking forward to REP releasing more attachments that work inside the PR-5000 rack.

These Jackson Barbell #5 plates have amazing history, which is the main reason I wanted them in my gym. Mine still have the original 1.35-inch bore, so without a matching Jackson bar they are more display piece than usable weight right now. I am fine with that for now, but I may eventually bore them to 2 inches so I can actually lift with them. Vintage plates with this kind of history are just fun to own.

The REP logo crossmember does what it needs to do, but it is not my preferred aesthetic. I would rather use a lower-profile crossmember, but that is not currently available in matte black, so I am sticking with this one. Functionally it is fine. It is a crossmember. Be careful during rack assembly because it is easy to hit your head on it, and it hurts.
