Overall good for weight storage, but the longer ones get a little bendy with 6+ 45s on them. For comparison, the rogue ones don’t in my experience. I also don’t like that there wasn’t a good way to tighten them without removing the urethane cover and holding the inner rod with a pipe wrench; some wrench flats would go a long way. However, I got a bunch of these with my used sorinex rack so I can’t complain.

These are great heavy duty j cups. I got mine with my second hand sorinex rack, but would not recommend for full price. They also fit a little loose on the rack, so sometimes your bar will roll to the front of the j cup lip. Overall they’re super solid if you can get them used.

TLDR: I like these, but replace the attachment pins with McMaster Carr 1/2” x 2” ring detent pins, PN 98320A500. Review: From my decently extensive research, these are the best Dinnie Stone handles available, and certainly their accessibility and accuracy is appreciated by those training for the actual stones. These have very accurate shapes and diameters, especially when compared to others (like the rogue rings). These are improved in my opinion by putting an AbMat sled spacer at the bottom before you load plates, and by replacing the pins that hold the rings on with quick detach/detent pins. I’d take off half a star for this if possible, but that’s semantic. Love these, and will probably update this review after my trip to Scotland in 2 months. Pin

I have an older version of this machine with the same part number, and this review reflects my experiences with it. Overall it’s a great unit. I’d like it more if it had a calf pad instead of a heel catch, but the adjustability, height, and stability make up for it. It has 4 adjustable angles to do extensions emphasizing different muscles, is made of thick 2x2 steel, and offers a lot of adjustment. I can do back extensions with a heavy barbell and it doesn’t budge, and gives you plenty of ROM to do so. I might eventually get a wide footplate and an adjustable calf roller fabricated for this unit, since the footplate just bolts on/off. But for now, I plan to have it in my gym for a long time.

I have the half rack version of this, but sorinex makes a great rack. The welded side panels and quality fit and finish make this thing rock solid. Would highly recommend picking up for a home gym if you can find a deal on one used. However, it’s hard to justify the cost over the competition if you aren’t a professional facility or paid gym.
