The Texas 2" Fat Axle Power Bar has excellent knurling and is grippy without being harsh. I love the 2" diameter, and it feels awesome in the hands and feels/works exactly like you’d expect. With that being said, the bar has poor sleeve tolerances with some play and very poor spin (objectively worse than my inexpensive Titan Fat Curl Bar). Now this may be a pro or con depending on the person, but just something to note is the aggressive sleeve ribbing. In addition, this bar seems to suffer from some quality‑control misses. I didn't have the set screw issue, however, mine arrived with metal shavings still inside the collars and a chip in the Cerakote. Which honestly shouldn’t happen at this price point. Finally, while I can understand the charge for shipping ($69 to me), they offer minimal shipping protection — despite the solid tube, there’s no foam, no rubber endcaps, no plastic wrap, unlike from companies such as REP Fitness which go above and beyond to protect their more expensive bars.
