I have a lot of nerdy hobbies, I guess I can add home gym owner to the list.

Purchased a well worn TPB for $180 off of FBMP with black zinc and chrome sleeves from a local powerlifting gym looking to change up their equipment. It is very well traveled, and the black zinc has begun to wear a good amount, but it is still the best bar that I have trained with. The knurling is top notch, not too aggressive and just right. One thing to note is that near the end of the shaft by the sleeves, the knurling is noticeably less aggressive. I'm unsure if that's standard, or just wear from the bar being in a gym on J-Cups for a few years. But even with it being well used, it's a no-brainer. Purchased used in March 2026.

Slightly biased review because I purchased this barbell off of FBMP, and it was pretty beat up when I purchased as part of a package deal with a squat stand. The bearings are pretty beat up, not a ton of spin on the sleeves. I am sure that when purchased new, this is a fine piece, but my experience with it was a heavily used one. Knurling is pretty passive, but its a fine bar to beat up on and mess around with for things like rack pulls. Purchased used in Oct 2025.

It's a tricep rope. Only purchased this specifically due to buying a cable tower at the same time from BoS. Probably not much different than every other one out there. Purchased new in Feb 2026

Surprised with the knurling on this one, feels great and the swivel is smooth. Purchased with a BoS plate loaded tower, and it will definitely bonk you on the head if you leave it on with no weight. It's pretty heavy for a lat pulldown bar but good purchase overall. Purchased new in Feb 2026.

Mounted this with a 2x4 then into the studs of a wall with lag bolts. It's a little creaky, and there is a small amount of movement with the bar when you switch from facing one direction to another. All in all a fine pullup bar. I am 230 lbs and it does not move around much. Got it due to having a Rogue SML1 70 in and wanted to be able to fully hang for pull ups. Bought used off of FBMP in Oct 2025.

This was the first "new" barbell purchased in my garage. It's a good daily driver for all movements, knurling feels great, and I rarely feel the need to chalk up when deadlifting. Only drawback is that it does tend to get a little whippy when you get to around 405 and up, especially with squatting. Doing it over, I probably should have purchased a Power Bar (looking at the Double Black Diamond from REP), but this is a great first option to get into nicer barbells for general use in my incorrect opinion. All the small cosmetic details (laser etching on inside of collars and CO endcaps) are a nice plus. Purchased new w/ Cerakote Green coating in Dec 2025.

Another FBMP pick up. When I purchased the coating was already pretty dinged up, but I haven't had any additional issues. Good way to get plates off the ground but is a tight squeeze when you put them on an SML-1 like I have.
