I got this thing for some DIY lifting blocks I had made, pretty close to free. Knurling is great not aggressive like the Texas but does makes you feel locked into the bar. Specs wise it is a Texas deadlift bar with less loadable sleeve length, making it shorter, sleeve collar is wide just like the Texas. Since I use kilo plates this isn’t a problem. If you can find it cheap it is a great deadlift bar. But to pay the full price I would probably just get the Texas. My biggest concern is the tensile strength is 160k ish. Bar hasn’t bent on me and I use it like any other deadlift bar. Does have me concerned about the longevity.
If you find it used or on some big sale could be great. If you find the Texas knurling rips yours hands to much this could be a decent alternative. I dislike the look of the plastic coller with company name on it. Makes it appear pretty cheap.
