One of the main reasons I bought them was that they're made in the USA, which is becoming harder to find these days and was a major selling point for me. The quality and construction are good, and it's great to support domestic manufacturing while getting a well-made product. The plates feel and look durable. However, as another reviewer mentioned, the steel inserts appear to be slightly off-center, and some of the plates are not perfectly flat or true. When they rotate on the bar, there's a noticeable wobble, similar to a bent bicycle rim. The other significant drawback is that the plate diameter is smaller than the standard 450 mm. As a result, I can't effectively mix them with my other plates, including my York Milled Era cast iron plates and Fringe Sport Savage Bumpers. If you already own plates that conform to the 450 mm standard, that's definitely something to keep in mind before purchasing.

I’m like Tommy, I don’t know much about jump ropes, but I knew enough to know that getting a good one was the best decision. I don’t use it as much anymore (though I probably should), but back when I used it at the commercial gym I belonged to for warm-ups and conditioning, all the bros wanted to try it.

I bought my Texas Power Bar used about a month ago (4/30/2026). It came from a small high school weight room. The reseller I bought it from was told it was over 8 years old, though I honestly don’t think it was used very much. The black zinc coating is still fully intact, the knurling still feels great (and is also all intact), and the spin is still smooth (though I did add a few drops of 3-in-One oil to the bushings). I appreciate the modest character it’s developed over the years. Sometimes older bars just have a feel that newer ones can’t replicate. It feels more like a “broken-in” barbell than a “used” one. Overall, this bar has that solid, robust feel you want from a true power bar. You can tell it was built to last. After owning and using it, I completely understand why everyone who owns a Texas Power Bar seems to love them. It has a distinct feel that just grabs you (and it’s not just the knurling). I love using it with my vintage York milled weight set!

I bought this for my kids to work on foot speed; and it was advertised as a rubber mat; but it wasn't. It's foam and slides around unless I stand on it or hold it down with some weight plates. It's kaka. I still use it but I wouldn't if I could find one that is 100% rubber. It makes a good yoga/stretching mat though.

Overall, this works as intended. The pulley movement is generally smooth and quiet, and the loading pin can accommodate standard or Olympic plates. It is rated for roughly 240–280 lbs, but I can’t say I would ever recommend it (or trust it). It can also sway slightly during certain movements if the weight isn’t controlled. I did use it for a while, mainly for lat pulldowns. While it technically works for that movement, it’s not really ideal. The setup and feel just aren’t the same as a dedicated lat machine, and the movement can feel a bit awkward depending on how you can sit (I had to still on the floor). It may be better suited for lighter accessory work like triceps pushdowns or some ab movements. For those types of exercises it can be serviceable, but overall the system feels fairly limited in what it can do. In my case, after the initial novelty wore off, I stopped using it and it’s been sitting in the corner

I might be the only person who thinks these are actually great. Simple, affordable, and effective, especially on the ribbed sleeves of my Texas All American Bar. They slide on easily, lock the plates securely, and come off fast between sets. The solid metal construction and easy gripping action(no wise cracks please) make them a dependable, no-frills option for any home gym.

Had these since 2013. Bought them to take to my commercial gym so I could make smaller weight progress on my lifts because they wouldn't let me mix bumpers (smallest increment was 10s) and iron plates. They weren't cheap, but they’re still in awesome shape and definitely still do the job. Never getting rid or selling them!

This is a sturdy, efficient rack for storing “Olympic” plates. I can’t use the barbell holders because I have a low ceiling, but that’s not a knock against the holder. The only real drawback is that the bolts are close to the plate pegs, so you can occasionally bump/hit them when sliding plates on, which can mark up the plates.
