For old guys like me these provide a nice incremental path. The plates themselves are nice and solid, don't get in the way, easy on and off. When in use, they really become part of the dumbbell structurally. The cradle they live in doesn't seem as robust.

I was really surprised at how much I like this humble J handle. Here is how I would use it with a band and footplate for bent over rows or RDLs. Great strength curve with the bands. You could also attach the band to a rack or anchor point and use this handle for various pulling motions. You can angle your grip any way you please, unlike with a bar. The knurling is pretty mild mannered but it gets the job done. A lot more comfortable than just holding the band.

When I bought this I was new to the home gym world and wanted the best. This half rack single stack fits my space perfectly, is very stable, and does a lot of things well. Rogue is known for made-in-USA quality, heavy and overbuilt, excellent construction, everything fits the first time. I can attest to all of that. Furthermore the communication with them, the shipping process, and the packing were all excellent. Some of the holes in the uprights do have sharp edges, and the J cups have painted pins. I'll probably upgrade them. I bought the shrouds more for storage than to enclose the hardware. The single stack configuration provides 2 panels inside the rack for storage and that has worked out well. However the outer portion of the shrouds included an adhesive backed foam liner which rapidly became entangled with the pulleys and cables. I jettisoned those, and after a bit of work with goo-gone, everything is fine. The 3x3 frame is industry standard, but if you are looking at this configuration, be advised that the cable routing occupies quite a bit of the front-to-back crossmembers. I wanted to use a Darko barbell anchor but it won't fit (at least not without modification). Also you cannot add storage panels or crossmembers across the back because of the weight stack & cabling. I suspect the twin stack might give you loads more options across the back, at the expense of side storage. I'm keeping this rack and enjoy using it every day. But if I was starting over I might look at the twin stack or the FM-6. Omitting the Rogue functional trainer and going with 3rd party options - like Dialed Motion and Bulletproof - opens up interesting possibilities (Check out the Kev Cave). This technology is still evolving. Of course if you have room a standalone cable tower and a combo rack would be slick. This package ended up being perfect for my space. Notwithstanding my comments, no regrets.

Very fast & easy, actually fun, to move around. I use these as band anchors and for Henny straps. Plenty strong. I don't use the carabiner that came with it; Brian's are much better and work with everything.

Thank you to Gluck for finding this beautiful piece. It is robust, precise, elegant. The built quality, fit and finish are museum quality. The knurling feels great, the bearings are perfect, and it is super solid. It just works, and it makes you want to work. I know no higher praise.

I got these because they are super thin (and space is tight), the grips are handy (not only for moving them around but also using for RDLs, halos etc), and man are they shiny. The handholds are very well finished. I'm not a strongman or power lifter and I don't need a lot of plates. The only downside is that they show every fingerprint. So not as shiny as at first, but I don't mind. If I had it to do again I might keep looking but these are great for my gym.
