The MicroGainz fractional plates are great for fixed as well as adjustable dumbbells. The 1.25 lb plates are great for getting 2.5lb jumps in your fixed dumbbells. They're also great when you use one plate (1.25). Yes your dumbbell will be unbalanced but I don't find that a problem. Fit, finish, and build quality are spot on.

I see no downsides to these, quality material used. I like to bump up my progression every few days and these work perfectly on my hex dumbells with the rubber cover, as my platemate magnetic weights won't hold on those. Would recommend.

These don't fit my specific dumbbells well. They slip towards my hands, off the little nubs at either end of the handles. When they slip off, they are too close together and are uncomfortable on my hands. I can see why they would be great on a set of dumbbells with different handles though.

I bought the 4-pack of 1.25lb, and love them. Gives full ability to just add a little, or to bridge the 5 lb steps in my dumbbells for continued progression. Firm grip, and great texture. Plenty of room for my hands on the REP hex head dumbbells I use as my daily drivers.

The added utility these provide are more than worth the price. The build quality is exceptional and in use, they remain secure and unobtrusive. The powder coat and spring seem quite durable, showing no signs of wear.

Got these for my wife in case anyone couldn't tell. She wanted some extra options between the 5lb dumbell jumps we have. Im impressed by their finishing and how the knurling hasn't taken off any of it. Great idea overall and could be a great option for those who have dumbells in only 10lb increments

Purchased a four-pack of 1.25s to go with my 5-50 set of fixed dumbbells, giving me maximum flexibility on weight increases. First of all, the purple looks outstanding and the construction is high quality. They clamp on tight to the handles and I'm able to put them flush against the inside of the heads so that I still have plenty of room for my hand. So far in use they have not moved- i probably will avoid drops if possible just in case though. They are also dead-on accurate in weight. If you think of the dollars per pound these might seem expensive, but given the high build quality, the clamping mechanism and the fact that they can kind of replace 20 pairs of dumbbells, I think they are actually a bargain. UPDATE- not a knock on these, but make sure the dumbbells you have are going to work. I got some heavier DBs of a different brand and the spot where the handles attaches to the head is much thicker. So the Microgainz plate can't get flush and I don't have enough room to use both. One still works and I could probably get 2.5s and use one of those OK, but anyways don't assume things like me.

I really like these since it allows for jumps on things with DB lateral raise where a 5 pound jump might be a bit too much. Solid build quality. They comes in a variety of colors if you want something to match your theme.

I have the MXSelect adjustable dumbbells (which go up in increments of 10 lbs) with their 5 lbs fractional plates. Added these to the mix to allow me to do 2.5 lbs increments. Work great. It gets a bit tight when I need to use both sets of fractional weights (the MXSelect 2.5s alongside these to get to a weight like 17.5), but definitely not uncomfortable.

I opted for these instead of getting 2.5lb jump dumbbells so these saved a significant amount of money including not having to buy another stand for the additional dumbbells. They snap on easy and have an awesome build quality. They are a little pricey for what they are but save money overall.
