These are the go-to standard of grippers. You will want to have them rated by closing force if you're trying to work up incrementally as there can be a +-10% swing in closing force.

I got these for a great price via Facebook marketplace and unless are someone who is really passionate about closing grippers, I really don't see a whole lot of need for them in a home gym. Another critique that I have is that many grippers, despite them being identical to each other, differ in span, making the same strength gripper wildly different. A fun thing to goof around with, but not necessary for every day.

Purchased the IronMind Captains of Crush Hand Gripper (Trainer - 100 lb) in January of 2019 to rehab an injury resulting in significant loss of mass and strength. This piece of equipment was an absolute life saver and expedited the recovery process significantly. This item is well built and priced accordingly at $29.95.

Don’t take my review as completely endorsing this product. It’s made well and these guys sort of own this niche. The only other producer that most will know in this space is grip genie.
You can buy them incrementally as you get stronger.
They are priced right and feel really good when you use them. But I feel everybody buys them to start working on their grip. More likely, these are used to fill up space on your wall control.

I own a few COC grippers including the guide, sport, trainer, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5. The build quality is excellent. The knurling is excellent. I had some of mine tagged by Canon PowerWorks which I would recommend if you are doing any contest prep. As a grip builder and something to play with between sets, there is no point to get them calibrated.

I have the 1.5 and 2 and boy it took some time getting number 2 to completely close I love them

These are very well made. I admit I got the full set and will never come close to closing the harder ones. I just wanted the set with the storage unit. I like to work these a couple times a week just to change things up.

I have no complaints on these other than how humbling they are. I've had a few for the past 8 years and the only changes I've seen is a little discoloration on the coils.

Some of the COC grippers I have are north of 20yrs and still get the job done. I’m sure there are cheaper options but if you get these you can be sure you are getting a gripper that will last.

Not much to say about these. Train your grip. Research shows that grip strength is closely related to longevity. These train your grip. So they will make you live longer. Science bro.
