I got into vintage weights after the massenomics weight wall video, picked up some milled 45s and those things were like a gateway drug. I can't precisely tell you why, but basically the day I started looking into vintage iron, I wanted these plates, there's just something about their look that is extremely appealing to me. Found a single on the market and grabbed it, and hell yeah. One day I'll pair it up.

Great vintage plates. Looking to collect more with different print and addresses, though tougher to find.

Along with my York vintage round heads, these plates just sort of fell into my lap. Again, I'm not a collector but I do understand the history and value of older pieces of equipment build when this used to be a proper country. However, unlike the York round heads, I actually use these plates in my daily rotation. These can take as much of a beating as I impose on my newer plates and in some instances, they out perform my newer, non-vintage plate sets. They are not only great to look at but they're even better to lift with. I'll probably never sell these or trade up for another vintage set. All in all, this is a great set to have if you're a collector, a serious lifter, a combination of the two, or if you like equipment with an interesting back story.

Nice vintage plates that make good daily drivers. They have that deep dish swagger but they won't break your bank, typically running $3-5 per lb. if you can find a set in decent shape they are definitely worth picking up.
