EVO MX100 Dumbbells

I love the feel of these dumbbells. They feel close to fix dumbbells, I don't notice any weight shifting or imbalance while using them. I'm not sure how the coating will hold up on the plates. I am not rough with them and there is already some chipping after a three months of use.

Had these for a few months now. They are really solid. Took a while for them to arrive but I think it was worth the wait. I’ve had a few different adjustable dumbbell pairs and systems. This performs just as well as the best ones. The value for a pair that goes to 100lb each is insane at the $800ish price point. I have not dropped these but they can withstand a firm put down, I wouldn’t really go beyond that. Only complaints: 1. The handle is just a little skinny for some movements (knurling is fine). 2. If you don’t get their stand it’s sometimes hard to mount and dismount if you’re at an angle. Their stand is V shaped which brings you over the weights, which is more optimal. 3. It goes by 10lb increments (I took a chance not getting their adder weights and got Micro Gainz for them, they work great!). 4. The stickers on the dials are low quality/ peeling a bit already. Other than those points. Thoroughly enjoying them and getting good-quick moving workouts in.

Not a bad price for 100 lb dumbbells. They feel very close to a real dumbbell and that’s what sold me on them.

Tough to beat the value of these - 100lb quickly adjusting dumbbell with all metal components, and having a “drop-proof” warranty for right at the $800 price point. I had the PowerBlocks for many years and wanted to get away from the caged design. I went with Nuobells for 3 years and, although I loved the handle adjustment, I needed more weight and also didn’t want to feel like I needed to baby my dumbbells as much. So I sold those with their stand and the Nuobell Microgainz adder plates for $800 - and now have the MX EVO 100s that go up to 105lbs with the adders. I went with the steel knurled handle option. The grip diameter is the same as a barbell 29mm. In a perfect world I’d like the grip diameter slightly larger, but I like attaching Fat Gripz on occasion to get more forearm stimulus. I didn’t opt for their dumbbell stand even though they mistakenly sent it for free. I decided to make a multifunctional stand that could also permanently hold my multi-flight.

Overall a really solid dumbbell - extremely durable and don’t have many concerns about longevity. The cradle is a bit difficult to dial in and if it isn’t, the dumbbells won’t adjust properly which I continued to mess with the first week or two of use. I prefer the cage-less design & of the dumbbells that go up to 100+ pounds this one is tough to beat. I think it’s a great option if you’re somewhere in that Nuobell, Powerblock etc. price range. I don’t foresee replacing these any time soon.
