Flat Utility Bench 2.0

Flat Utility Bench 2.0

No nonsense. No limitations. No assembly required. The redesigned Rogue Flat Utility Bench takes the weight bench back to basics, featuring a 2x3” 11-gauge steel construction, a highly engineered polyurethane foam pad, and a pair of angled, wide-set legs for maximized stability. Ergonomically designed and built in the USA, the Flat Utility Bench 2.0 ships fully assembled and offers a needed antidote to the wobbly flat benches and unwieldy FID weight benches routinely imported by the big box stores. While easy to maneuver at just 49 pounds, the Flat Utility Bench is also heavy-duty enough for a tank to sit on it. So no matter the size of the athlete or the intensity of the workout, you've got a rock solid foundation underneath you.

Purchased the Rogue Flat Utility Bench 2.0 in August of 2020. This has been my primary bench for nearly six years and is used frequently in my home gym. The build quality is exceptional and is equipped with a standard 12-inch wide, 2.5-inch thick pad. This bench has been updated and can now be purchased with a textured foam pad for $195.00. If you are in the market for a no frills, heavy duty flat bench consider the Rogue Flat Utility Bench 2.0.

Honestly can’t go wrong with this bench, it’s rock solid I think at the time I paid $350 with the Thompson fat pad which in my opinion how can you go wrong. It doesn’t wobble or shake at all. Feels sturdy even just moving it around.

This was a second bench that I bought and I have absolutely no complaints with its performance, price or functionality. However, as some athletes like a wide pad and even go wider with a Thompson Fat Pad, I prefer the narrower pad of my Cybex flat bench. This is a great piece, but is now a back up bench that I occasionally pull out for accessory movements.

Cheaper options exist, and this is as baseline, run of the mill as a bench gets. The pad is slick. It will handle the heaviest of benches. In a world of vanilla Rogue didn’t even put a sprinkle in this. Fine for what it does!

Very basic, nice to move around since it's on the lighter side, still very strong and bench height is appropriate for powerlifting

This is a very lightweight bench. I purchased it prior to covid and didn't keep it very long. It was a light, flimsy thing, and I didn't feel comfortable with heavy loads, not to mention my feet were always bothered by the front legs. Typical Rogue price, not typical Rogue quality. Skip it.

My primary flat bench, however I upgraded to the Thompson fat pad (great choice). Could benefit from having wheels as it’s not super light with the fat pad. I believe newer versions do have wheel capability now. Nonetheless I’ve had the bench for years and shows no signs of slowing down.

When picking a bench at the Rogue store, this was almost the bench I bought, but then I heard about the heavier-duty bench with the fat pad on it. I'm so glad I went with the upgrade, and really, the biggest signs of wear are sweat marks. Rogue makes great equipment.

I have the bench with the textured foam pad. I love the pad feel. The product as a whole is very basic but I gave 4/5 on build quality because with heavy box squats I notice a little movement/warping in the upper of the bench. Feels secure but I'd like no give at all.

I have the original and it’s been great for 15 years and going strong. I don’t bench over 3 plates, so I haven’t pushed its limits.
