Linebacker Squat Landmine Attachment

Linebacker Squat Landmine Attachment

Take your workouts up a notch with this landmine attachment. From linebacker squats and v-style squats to presses and pulls, it adds plenty of variety to your strength routine - without worrying about balancing a bar on your shoulders. It is designed to work with any Olympic barbell, so setup is simple: slide it on, tighten it up, load your plates, and you are ready to train. The thick, padded shoulders keep things comfortable and stable, while the knurled, rotating handles help your wrists stay neutral through squats, presses, and rotation work. I watched a bunch of negative YT reviews before buying this thing, but they all mostly centered on the weight horns being hard to load. I solved that by leaving off the weight horns. 4 plates is about as heavy as I want to load it this way, but it's been a good attachment for ~2 years. I'm about to move up to a smith machine and will probably get rid of it. I think it does 4 movements very well (assuming 180lbs or lower is good enough): good morning, forward facing sumo-ish squats, rear facing hack-ish squats, viking press. You *could* do RDLs or rows or cleans on it if you have a narrower frame, but I don't think it's better than a barbell for those -and- the handles are placed a little narrow for me.

Had this for a while and using it with the landmine for some "explosive" presses was fun but took up too much space and I didn't use it enough. If you like the variety, probably worth it for you but not a necessary piece.

This served me well initially before I had independent squat stands to allow me to do done leg exercises. Loading can be tricky because you have to keep it balanced despite being able to load only one side at a time. It was comfortable and having the rotating handles let me do cleans and done presses with it too.

This can be awkward to set up and use. Works well for pressing or hack squats. Build quality is not great.
