Monster Lite J-Cup Pair - Standard

Monster Lite J-Cup Pair - Standard

This upgrade adds UHMW to the front lip (further preventing metal on metal contact) and extends the plastic lining all the way to the top of the back plate, reducing the chance of someone accidentally re-racking on the top of the plastic and then having the bar drop into the cup. The UHMW plastic core of the “sandwich” offers full protection against barbell knurling, and plastic on the black plate prevents chipping of the upright finish.

They do the job. No plastic on the ends of the j cup sucks, definitely roughed up my bar and the j cups themselves on several occasions. Also there’s no plastic protection on the bottoms, so you can bang it on a bench press possibly. But they come included as the base j cups themselves on your rogue squat stand/ rack purchases etc. structurally they are very sound

Pros: Incredibly heavy-duty and well-constructed. Cons: The hardware securing the plastic lining is prone to rusting quickly.

I do use these on my rack because they are quick and easy to move around. The plastic is real hard so the bars don't dig in much. They are fine to have and use but sandwich j cups are a nicer option. If they come with your rack, use them. If you're done upgrading everything else, upgrade these.

For new buyers. When buying a rack you can email Rogue to swap out the J-cups etc. if the website doesn't offer the option. For me, I would always go for Sandwich J-cups (or Roller) over these. Don't get be wrong, they work. However, Sandwich J-cups come with UHMW at the front and underneath, yes you'll hit this, and with the 1" version you also gain some extra width for your barbell collars. Needed in a Rogue rack. I now use my standard pair on the front of my rack as (expensive) storage hooks for rings etc.

Fit tolerance could be tighter but still, of a quality I trust my life with. And yes, the powdercoat will certainly chip over time but affordable solutions exist.

These j cups are honestly in better condition than any of the bars in the same gym, so it may be overkill but they are easy to adjust and do do the job.

No major issues, but I have the lowest frills, no plastic, take a beating and give a beating back to the bar, version. We use our equipment, it’s not a showroom, so doesn’t bother me. But if you want pristine, the all metal will obviously tear your equipment up!

I have two sets of these J-Cups for my rack, and with the plastic on them, I've never had a scratch from the J-Cups on any of my bars. Great quality and good value.

Really wasn’t a fan of these J cups, constantly moving around and beat up super easily

No frills, standard J Cups. These will do the job and do it well. I only got rid of these when I upgraded to the Ghost Roller J Cups.
