Rogue CB-4 38MM Camber Bar

Rogue CB-4 38MM Camber Bar

The Rogue CB-4™ 38MM Camber Bar was developed in collaboration with Westside Barbell, and made its public debut as the “Double T” Bar at the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic (nick-named in honor of the late Dr. Terry Todd). The goal with this design was to build a curved / bowed specialty bar suited not only to the world’s top powerlifters and Strongmen, but athletes of every size and ability level. To get there, we started with a series of different prototypes–of varying diameter, bend angle, and knurl pattern–and sent them all over to the least compromising focus group in the iron game: the athletes at the Westside Barbell Gym. Through their repeated testing and direct feedback, we were then able to determine which specs best delivered all of the key benefits we were looking for.

I like this barbell overall but it is 10lbs heavier than my bells of Steele buffalo bar so I like that better. This has worked well for me at a starting strength gym when doing squats. Also the price is better for bells of steel bar. However overall hard to beat Rogue quality.

This is a much better barbell for pressing than squatting IMO. The fat shaft and curve is just right to release a little pressure on the shoulders and I find I can bench as much or more with this than a power bar. The knurling is crazy good. I had to sand down the sleeves to fit weight plates on the bar because Rogue effed up their initial run of matte black sleeves. They didn’t own up to is, but whatever, great bar regardless. Just took some sandpaper to get my ROGUE plates to fit.

I like it better than the duffalo bar. Feels very good with 500lbs on squat Feels good for bench too & the thickness makes it feel easy on the elbows I like it a bunch, even though I rarely use it nowadays

My gym at work got this bar and I was shocked how much I like it more than the SSB. I was having shoulder issues, partly from squatting under heavy weight with a narrow grip, and this relieved the stress enough to squat comfortably during rehab. I ended up purchasing the Titan version, which is not nearly as nice as this. Gold knurling, durable finish. An excellent bar.

Overall rock solid but the price is way too high for a barbell.

I personally don’t like this bar. I felt it’s bend/ arch/drop was to aggressive for my preference and it seemed unnaturally thick in diameter.

This does have a good feel. It get compared to the duffalo bar and I do think that is fair. They do feel different enough to where I could see someone justifying having both, but for 99% of people I’d recommend duffalo if you can find it. That being said, if you can’t find it then this this my next choice for bars on the market to buy new. Good feel and angle. Thickness of bar feels solid on the back.

I don’t have good shoulder mobility, so my shoulders and elbows hurt from squatting. This barbell is so comfortable to squat with. Easy on the shoulders and elbows. The thick bar with the knurl all the way across your back feels locked in. If I could only have 2 bars, I would take this and a power bar. The bar feels secure enough with standard j cups. The Ghost roller j cups with inserts really lock it in. Stores fine in Darko anchor mounts above.

I had a period of time where I was using this once a week and I loved it. I have never used a duffalo bar so hard for me to compare but this is great. I love the thicker diameter and what that adds to pressing movements. Right now SSB has taken over as my secondary squat but I am looking forward to having this back in program. I loved using it.
