I got these plates in a full weider gym set in the early 2000s. They came with a lat pulldown, barbell, and bench. I've 2.5s to 45lbs that I keep at my parents house. While they are easy to carry and my dad likes them for that, I am not a fan of the look or finish of these plates at all. They are fine though so if you see them for a deal used, they are worth picking up.

These are not the prettiest plates, but they get the job done. Nice open handles for easy moving. But thats about it on the benefits.

I purchased these from walmart years ago. I got them for .50 a pound. They've seemed to hold up pretty well and still look in good shape. The casting or finish work isn't very good on them. While some have smooth handles, others are extremely rough. They're also a little smaller in diameter than many other plates. I think they fall in to the weight is weight category.

These plates work well, they are easy to handle due to the design and they weigh what they are supposed to.

These were my first weight plates I ever purchased. They were being sold at the base exchange while I was stationed overseas so pretty much all that was available at the time. Never weighed them to see how accurate but the paint was very durable.

Weider 45lb Hammertone Olympic Plates are great weights and i love that they are easy to handle because of the open areas.

Would suggest avoiding these unless you get a great deal and don't care about much else. They're poorly cast, look ugly, and have a smaller diameter than normal 45s.

These were the plates my dad bought for me when I was a kid for our home gym and taught me how to lift with. Always special to me

Been using these for 12-15 years anytime I'm hitting 315+ on exercises in rack, block pulls, or supersetting exercises needing three+ sets of 45s in the rack area. No chipping or damage noted.
