About the Gym

This started out years ago with an old pair of dumbbells and a bowflex. I’ve always had a way to “workout” over the years with things like light dumbbells, Bands, Door frame pull-up bars, treadmill, yoga mats. In 2013 I dreamed to have my own equipment at home so I didn’t have to have late night gym sessions away from my family after work. Then in 2018-2019 I started researching equipment as I wanted to build a Home Gym with for convenience and to be at home with my family, then 2020 when I finally decided to buy after researching, Covid hit, and it was harder to get things. I started piecing things together over time and it’s slowly grown over the years into what it is today. Constantly updating it to fit my needs, wants, and desires. I like to say I look for “goldilocks zone” equipment. Equipment that is a great value while not breaking the bank but will last me for years without the need to upgrade. Giving me the functionality I’m looking for without having to be the high end equipment that bleeds my bank account dry. On the flip side of that, I don’t want items that will be so cheaply made that they break and I have to replace it sooner than expected. In an ideal world I’d have a ton of space, with all the high end commercial equipment. A small 2 car garage (17x20) that is partially used for storage and the rest as a gym.
