They're big and they're beefy. They aren't the most durable and they cause sometimes cause more issues than they're worth (i.e. plates getting jammed, plates not latching, the overall size of the dumbbell itself, etc.) BUT, they are a great space saver. The small footprint of these has been a huge positive with the limited space I have. Overall, if you don't have a ton of room and can get them for a decent price, I would recommend these. However, if you're able to buy an actual induvial set of dumbbells, that's the route I'd take.
