Started piecing together a garage gym in 2015 to avoid going outside in Alaska unless absolutely necessary with an Amazon squat stand and have been upgrading over time as I move around the country courtesy of the US Army. Now that I’m getting closer to to retirement, I’m trying to acquire my “forever” pieces and become moderately strong.

They hold plates on the rack conveniently. Nothing too mind blowing but the plates slide smoothly on them and they are pretty expensive for what they are.

Mainly picked this up to train on hex bars since that’s what the Army fitness test uses. I got it on marketplace for $300 so a fair amount saved over new, but I’ve only used it once. It just takes up space and boy, what a lot of space it takes. In my Rogue 9 bar holder it eats up several spaces. A bit of a pain to move around and get set up but it’s a sturdy unit.

Solid bar holder that’s built like a tank. I chose Rogue to support American, although very similar products can be purchased for cheaper. If I didn’t have the ability to pick up from Rogue and had to pay shipping on this unit I may have reconsidered.

Nothing special but price is cheap and weights are pretty accurate

Bar feels pretty cheap, although it isn’t that expensive I think it’s worth paying another 100 for a Bella bar if you need a lighter starting weight. It gets the job done however for my wife in overhead movements where she needs a lighter bar.
